Emirates Airlines: In-Flight Video Creation App
Atmosphere Proximity (the interactive division of BBDO) was having trouble developing an in-flight video creation app that met all the needs of their client Emirates Airlines. I was brought in to help solve the problem.
My solution worked and was enthusiastically accepted by the client. The idea was to combine the best elements of consumer video editing software, with the marketing needs of Emirates Airlines.
We basically developed an in-flight commercial generator that the user could customize. Instead of being able to video aspects of their flight and risk clips of alcohol use and profanity, the app was prepopulated with approved clips and music, set to a theme and exported with customizable features.
Emirates loved it and we went on to develop a web-based version seen below.
